Training for Interpreters wishing to learn more about working in a police environment and in courts, as well as for those interested in gaining a basic knowledge about the world of Conference Interpreting

Interpreting in The Police Environment
Date: Thursday 11th September 2008, London
This course is aimed at those interpreters wishing to learn more about working in a police environment. It will give the interpreters the opportunity to develop and apply the terminology, values and skills required of interpreters working in a police environment.

Interpreting in Courts
Date: Friday 17th October 2008, London

This course is aimed at both newcomers to the profession and established court interpreters wishing to update their skills and knowledge. This court is relevant for court interpreters working in the court systems of England and Wales. Interpreters will gain an insight into the courts’ remits, the role of the interpreter in court and practical guidelines.

An Introduction to Conference Interpreting
Date: Tuesday 25th November 2008, London

This course is an introduction to Conference Interpreting for interpreters working in other fields or for those interested in gaining a basic knowledge about the world of Conference Interpreting. This course will provide an overview of the industry, the conference environment and interpreting techniques.
