In order to join the National Register of Public Service Interpreter's (this only applies to new applications). Click the following links to download the appropriate pdf documents:

Before downloading the Application Form and Letter, please ensure you have read the Criteria for Entry and the Code of Conduct.

You can apply to join the National Register at any time of the year.

Applications take approximately 8 weeks to process but may take longer if:

1. the application form is incomplete
2. additional material is needed
3. additional references are required or if the referees take a while in responding.

All applications which meet the criteria are considered by the Selection Panel, which meets on a monthly basis.

Each interpreter will be informed of the Selection Panel's decision (in writing) within two weeks of their application having been considered.

An interpreter's application is valid for one year from the month they are accepted onto the Register. Each interpreter must renew their listing annually.
